The Balloonfish (Diodon holocantus) is still one of my darlings. He always reminds me og "E.T." |

The Foureye-Butterflyfish (Chaetodon capistratus) is so-to-say a "trademark" of the Caribbean. In general he lives in couples, but you also find singles. The black spot at the back end is supposed to look like an eye, just to confuse enemies. |

| A Great Barracuda (Sphyraena barracuda) hunting for food. It does not just look fast, he also can be fast for a short time, up to 50 miles/hour. The barracuda likes everything shiny that moves. So, leave all your glitter at home while diving. | ||||||

A Sand diver (Synodus intermedius) having a break. |

Those of you who visited my pages frequently know that there are always some morays around. This time it took me four days until I finally saw the first one. And here it is. Looking pretty hungry, the Spotted moray (Gymnothorax moringa). |

And this is the absolute highlight! A Flying Gurnard (Dactylopterus volitans). Here you just can get a slight idea of his flying capabilities. But look at the photos below... ... The last shot (on the lower right) looks much more like "flying", doesn't it? A just wonderful looking animal. I wished it had been darker, so that my flashlight had lit up the wings in true colours. The edges of the wings are in a shining "electric" blue. |

And last bust not least a beautiful Queen angelfish (Holacanthus ciliaris). Too beautiful to be true. |

I hope you enjoyed what you have seen! If yes, please send me a short note with your opinion whether by e-Mail or drop it into my guest book. You'll find both on my "Contact" page. |
