The Saddled Filefish (Canthigaster valentini) I also like because of his colour pattern. Furthermore you don't see him too often.

This White-tip Reef Shark (Triaenodon abesus) was sleeping when we arrived, but as soon as we got aware of him he disappeared. BTW, I had done the same .... damned tourists.

During a night dive I found this Soft Coral (Minabea aldersladei). However, that was the comfortable part of the dive. Lateron we saw a school of White-tip Reef Sharks hunting like crazy. I'm very glad they had only small fish on their menu.

This Big-nosed Unicornfish (Naso vlamingii) was close to the night hunt of the sharks (see above). As a matter of caution he folded up his back fins just to look bigger and more impressive, what a show-off... ;-). Very clearly you can see his wapons, the sharp blades at his tail. where his name "surgeon" derives from.

A school of Glassfish (Parapriacanthus ransonneti). Nomen est omen, you literally can see through these fishes.

As you know the domain of this web site is called "turtle48.de". Consequently, a turtle has to be in this series. So, here it is - a Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas).

Another Highlight of this safari was the fly by of a school of eagle rays (Aetomylaeus vespertillo). Unfortunately I couldn't get closer than this. Thus, the quality of the photograph is very poor.

See above.

This Bearded Scorpionfish (Scorpaenopsis barbatus) may have thought I won't see him. Not with me, guy! :-)

As the very last one: A beautiful couple of Masked Bannerfish (Heniochus monocerus). Plan "A" was to see Hammerheads, but nobody has told them to show up. So, this was all I got.

dive #150

Again, we have reached the end of this series. I hope you enjoyed what you have seen. If yes, don't hesitate to write a message or make an entry in my gustbook, if you like.
